Young badminton rookies show their moves in the Junior Tournament organized by the Twins Sports Badminton Center in Subang Jaya. The newly established center along USJ19 was recently opened to all badminton enthusiasts who wish to hone their skills in rigorous training sessions and competitions.

The tournament served as one of the leading events for the center’s much awaited opening. The primary goal of the tournament was to provide the young, novice players an even playing field to compete in an equally challenging arena. Thus, the tournament did not include the top players of the region even though they qualified in the available contending age groups.

The Twins Sports Badminton Center was pioneered by Yap Yee Hup, one of the country’s former champions in the men doubles divison. At present, he serves as the center’s chief coaching director. Yap Yee expresses the center’s serious desire to develop the potential of promising players. He says that the players qualified in the top position were not allowed to compete in the tournament to allow the new ones to fend for themselves while making their way to the top of their batch. This way, the novice players may also experience victory, the encounter of which could be very positive and inspiring. The center believes that this form of motivation is healthy in boosting the young players to go for more victories.
